The arena
In the arena you stake something and you can lose it. That is why one condition stands in front of it that no other door gets around: without walked ground the arena stays shut.

The condition for entry
To stake anything in the arena you need a territory of your own that you have walked in the last seven days, and finished basic training. Both apply to attacking and to the shop in exactly the same way. Every source of cards in the game hangs on the same condition, and there is no door left that gets around walking.
Cards against cards
Each side stakes one to three cards of the same rarity. The winner takes both stakes, but only the rarities their own tier allows; anything above that goes back to the loser. Without that rule a second account would deliberately lose legendaries to a main account.
Ground against ground
Each side stakes a territory of their own walked within the last seven days, and both must sit in the same tier band. The winner takes both. There is no pack and no protection window, and the walked clock on the won ground is set to zero: ground from the arena gives you neither permission nor deck slot until you have walked it yourself.
Burn mode
Each side stakes one to three cards from common to rare; epic and legendary are not allowed here. Both stakes burn. From the sixth win in a row there is a pack, and nothing after that. This mode is a sink, not an income: six wins in a row burn twelve cards and create five.
The caps, and why they exist
Against the same opponent at most one match a day counts, and across all opponents at most three. Bought, traded and basic-training cards cannot be staked, and won cards cannot be staked again. Without those lines a good player pile grows without a single step out the door.
The official tournaments
Alongside the three modes MapRaiders runs official tournaments. The top three places take a pack or a card, capped at their own rarity tier, and a commander is never among them. The condition for entry holds here too: without walked ground there is no seat at the table.
The table goes here
The arena today is the rule, not the table: you read how stakes and wins work, and you play elsewhere. The table itself moves in here, in the browser, without an account, with the same cards you see on this site.
