Spawn points in MapRaiders

Every closed lap tears the seam between worlds a little further. Where dimensions collide, commanders step onto the real map. Those places are the spawn points.

What a spawn point is

A spawn point is a fixed starting place on the real world map. It belongs to the story of a commander: a figure appears where its legend is set.

If you live nearby, you walk there. If you do not, you travel there with your character and explore the area from the spawn point.

Planned

New places with every release

Each release is planned to bring new commanders and, with them, new spawn points at the places of their stories. A general of antiquity appears where his battles were fought, a machine where its factory stood.

Between releases, a monthly commander is planned to open one further spawn point. Pace and number are not final and will be announced here first.

The first places we are preparing. Which commander appears where stays a secret until the release, and places can still change.

Outside or from home

MapRaiders stays a game of real movement: real territory comes from real laps that you walk, run or cycle.

Spawn points are for everyone who cannot go out right now, and for everyone who wants to see a place on the other side of the world.

Our rules for places

  1. Spawn points are public squares and streets, never private property.
  2. No spawn points at memorials, cemeteries, places of worship, schools or hospitals.
  3. If a place turns out to be unsuitable, tell us and we will move it.
