Frequently Asked Questions

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Settings (gear icon in your profile), and tap "Delete Account". Confirm the deletion. All your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Can I change my username?

Yes. Open the app, go to Settings, and tap your current username to edit it. The new name must be unique and free of offensive content.

My territory isn't showing up on the map. What can I do?

1. GPS signal: Make sure GPS is active and has good reception. Buildings, tunnels, and dense urban areas can degrade GPS accuracy.
2. Internet connection: An active data connection is required so claimed territories can be uploaded to the server and rendered on the map.
3. Zoom level: Territory cells are only visible at certain zoom levels. Zoom in closer to see individual cells.
4. Decay: Territories shrink over time if they aren't walked regularly. Check whether yours may have decayed.
5. Restart: Sometimes closing and reopening the app reloads the map data correctly.

If none of this helps, send us an email with a screenshot and we'll investigate.

How do I defend a territory?

There are three layers:

• Passive defense: Walking the same area repeatedly fortifies it. Well-walked territories are harder to take over.
• Defense structures: Place mini-game challenges on your territory. Attackers must beat them to claim the land.
• Clans: Clan members can hold and defend territories together. Clan ground is significantly harder to break.

Is MapRaiders really free?

Yes. The full game is free. The app is currently in open beta and contains no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads. Cosmetic items may be added later as optional purchases, but they will never affect gameplay.

What's the minimum age?

The minimum age to use MapRaiders is 16. Users under 18 should have the consent of a parent or guardian.

Why does the app need GPS access?

MapRaiders is built around real-world location. GPS is used to determine which cells you walk through and to claim them on the map. Location data is processed only as needed to run the game and is never sold. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does it work offline?

Partially. GPS works offline, but live map sync, multiplayer features, and clan defense require an internet connection. We're working on a more robust offline mode for hikes outside cell coverage.

When is the iOS version coming?

iOS launch is targeted for Q3 2026. If you're on iOS, drop your email on the homepage to get notified.

How can I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Email us at info@scafa-investments.com. Include your device model, OS version, and a short description of what happened. Screenshots help a lot. We read every message.
