How does active defence work?

Assign a game

Select a mini-game from your available defenses. Assign it to your territory. This becomes the challenge attackers face.

Attacker arrives

Another player walks to your territory location. They see the defence and tap to challenge. Both players sync in real-time.

Game plays

The mini-game launches. Both humans compete simultaneously. Skill, strategy, and speed determine the winner.

Territory changes hands

Attacker wins: land is theirs. Defender wins: you keep it. Either way, the game ends and players can challenge again later.

What are defence mini-games?
Defence mini-games are real-time games assigned to your territories to protect them from attackers. When someone challenges your territory, both players compete in the assigned game. The winner takes or keeps the land. MapRaiders offers 7 different games, each requiring different skills and strategies.
When do defence games trigger?
A defence game triggers when another player physically walks to your territory and initiates a challenge. Both players must be present (or synchronized in real-time) to compete. The game is active and immediate — not passive or turn-based.
Can I switch defence games?
Yes. Change your defence game anytime from the territory management screen. Swapping games is a smart tactic to surprise attackers who may have prepared for a specific game type. Keep them guessing.
