Claim your territory
The Problem

What's Missing from Territory Games Today?

Most territory games are digital abstractions. You click on a map to capture zones, but nothing about it feels real. The territories are arbitrary, battles are automated, and you watch the outcome rather than influence it. Where's the skin in the game? Where's the actual investment?

MapRaiders flips this entirely. Territory is tied to real GPS coordinates. To claim an area, you must physically be there. To defend it, you must actively respond. Your territory is an expression of your real physical presence in urban space — and that gives every battle genuine weight. This is what territory gaming should have always been.

The Solution

How the Territory System Works

Claim by Walking

Walk through any street or area — your GPS position is recorded and the territory is registered under your name. Simple, direct, real. No tapping, no grinding.

Territory Decay

Inactive territories shrink daily. Patrol your claimed areas or lose them. The decay system keeps the map alive and prevents early players from permanently locking out newcomers.

Interactive Defense

Attackers face a menu of defensive games you've set up. Rock Paper Scissors, Mini Chess, Tic Tac Toe, and 4 more. Your defensive choices matter — pick games you're good at.

Clan Territories

Clans that claim territory together hold stronger blocks. Clan-owned areas require coordinated multi-player attacks to break. Collective power amplifies individual reach.

FAQ

Quick Answers

How does territory claiming work?
You walk, run, or cycle through any street and your GPS position claims that territory. It appears on the live map under your name and stays yours until another player physically walks to it and challenges you in a defense mini-game.
Can I lose territory?
Yes. The Territory Decay Engine reduces inactive areas daily. If you stop visiting your claimed zones, they gradually shrink. Stay active and patrol your territory to maintain it. This keeps the map dynamic and competitive.
What happens during an attack?
The attacker must physically walk to your territory. Then an interactive mini-game begins — both players compete in real-time. The winner of the mini-game determines who controls the territory. Skill and strategy beat raw time investment.
Can a clan control territory together?
Yes. Clans form organically and can jointly claim large territory blocks. Clan-owned territory is more resilient — it requires coordinated multi-player attacks to break. Teamwork multiplies your reach on the map.
Is MapRaiders a mobile territory game?
Yes, MapRaiders is available for Android (iOS coming later). It uses your phone's GPS to track movement and claim territory in real-time. The interface shows a live map of your city with all active territories visible.

From the Founder
I built MapRaiders because GPS games either force your wallet or leave you alone. Here every step shapes real territory — and every map becomes the social network of your city.

Dropping Echoes and watching who finds them is like an open scavenger hunt through the whole city. I discover corners I'd never seen.
