Scavenger Hunt Social App

Your whole city is
the game board

Who said scavenger hunts are just for kids? MapRaiders turns your entire city into a living hunt: create GPS quests with audio clues, send strangers on adventures through your neighbourhood, and solve the mysteries others have hidden for you.

The Problem

Geocaching is brilliant.
But it's stuck in the past.

Geocaching is a great concept — but it's outdated in execution. Hide physical containers, look up coordinates, make silent entries in a logbook. Perfect for introverted nature lovers, but too rigid for those seeking social interaction, spontaneous creation, and urban adventure.

Existing scavenger hunt apps either target children or require so much preparation that setup takes longer than the fun itself. And they all lack the critical piece: a living community that constantly reinvents quests and responds to other players' discoveries in real time.

What's missing is a scavenger hunt social app where creating and solving are equally important. Where your self-created riddle actually sends real people through the city, and where you watch in real time who follows your clues.

The Solution

GPS quests that come alive

🗺️

Quests on the Live Map

Drop GPS waypoints at any location and connect them into a quest route. Other players see your scavenger hunt on the community map and set out to solve it in the real world.

🔊

Audio Clues as Echoes

Leave voice hints at each quest waypoint: "When you hear this echo, look up..." Spatial audio messages that feel like a real adventure, not just a notification.

🏆

Quest Territories

Completed quests strengthen your territory at those GPS points. Quest creators can see who has finished their creation. Clans can organise competitive scavenger hunt events.

🎭

Clan Hunt Challenges

Create hunts exclusively for your clan or open them to everyone. Perfect for group events, team-building activities, or spontaneous weekend adventures with friends.

How it works

3 steps to your GPS scavenger hunt

1

Drop quest pins on the map

Open MapRaiders and tap any locations on the live map. Place anchor points at interesting spots — in front of a unique building, at the park fountain, by the unusual street art. Each point becomes the next stop in your hunt.

2

Record audio clues

At each point, record an audio echo: an encoded message, a riddle, a direction to the next waypoint. Other players hear it automatically when they physically reach that location. Your voice guides the adventure.

3

Publish and watch it come alive

Publish your quest to the community or just your clan. Watch in real time as players discover your hunt, follow the clues through the city, and complete your creation. Add new hints if someone gets stuck.

Who it's for

For everyone who wants to
rediscover their city

For creatives and storytellers who've always wanted to use their environment as a stage for an experience. MapRaiders gives them the tools — GPS, audio, community — to create genuinely interactive adventures without coding or logistics.

For groups and teams looking for team-building events or group activities that actually connect people. A collaborative scavenger hunt through a neighbourhood creates shared memories that no escape room can match.

For city explorers and the curious who want to discover their own city after years of living there. Quests created by others lead to places and perspectives you'd never notice otherwise.

scavenger hunt social app

Can I create my own scavenger hunts in MapRaiders?
Yes, that's one of the core features. Drop GPS pins on the live map, record audio clues, and publish your quest for the community. Other players solve your scavenger hunt in the real world — no technical expertise required.
How is MapRaiders different from geocaching?
Geocaching hides physical containers — MapRaiders is entirely digital, making it more flexible and spontaneous. Anyone can create a quest instantly. Plus GPS territories, clans, and a real-time community system that geocaching never had. MapRaiders is alive; geocaching is static.
Can MapRaiders be used for team-building or group events?
Absolutely. Create quests exclusively for your group or open them to the public. Perfect for corporate team events, birthday parties, city tours with a playful twist, or any occasion that benefits from collaborative exploration.
Is MapRaiders suitable for scavenger hunts with kids?
Yes. The quest system is intuitive and parents can create custom routes through familiar safe areas. Ideal for family outings, birthday parties, or playful city discovery experiences with children.
What happens when I complete a scavenger hunt?
Completed quests earn points, strengthen your territory at those GPS points, and reward your clan. You see the creator's reaction to your completion and can share your achievement with the community.

From the Founder
I built MapRaiders because GPS games either force your wallet or leave you alone. Here every step shapes real territory — and every map becomes the social network of your city.
